My printer has worked fine until a month or two. Since then it keeps going offline. I have updated software drivers etc. I need to poke around with troubleshooters etc every time to get it to work. It's then fine for that session but the problem comes back every time i turn it off. Is there any solution to this?

Well I'm a simple soul, aged 78. I know how to turn the computer on and off, can use excel/Word, accounting programs, just get by. I have no idea what ports/networks/blue/yellow/red tooths/ wifi are, so useless telling me about these matters. I've never installed/removed a printer in my life. Still don't understand why when you download something you then need to install it, I would have thought downloading was sufficient, but I very rarely download anything, never set up an App as I don't know how to. So as nothing was working I took a leaf of faith, uninstalled the printer, then took 30 minutes to find where the bloody thing went couldn't find it and then it suddenly appeared, I somehow installed it and Wally, no more offline messages, it works!!! what a miracle.
