Printer keeps going "offline" Windows 11

My printer has worked fine until a month or two. Since then it keeps going offline. I have updated software drivers etc. I need to poke around with troubleshooters etc every time to get it to work. It's then fine for that session but the problem comes back every time i turn it off. Is there any solution to this?

2025-03-17T09:16:50+00:00 As a Windows 10 user I don't have KB5051987. But I do have KB5051974. Both issued at the same time, so are they the same? The update probably occurred at at the same time the problem started. Since then KB5056306 has installed. Would I need to remove both updates?
Removing KB5051974 and all successors seems to have done the trick, not forgetting to pause updates to stop it coming back. But with W10 going out of support later this year thats not a problem

2025-03-17T17:13:54+00:00 I also noticed that if my printer (Epson ET-5180) is just connected to the USB, it never goes offline. When I activated the wireless so that I could print from my laptop, the printer started going offline.

2025-03-17T19:16:32+00:00 I have tried EVERY method discussed here over the past 6 months to get my printer to stop going offline.
My computer guru can't understand it either. I have all the Windows updates for 11 and all the updates for my HP laser printer, but it goes offline randomly and for no reason. Sometimes resetting the Print Spooler works, sometimes I have to delete the printer and add it back.
I recently had to delete and re-add my printer again but this time the laptop sees the printer, can give me a preview, says the printer is ready, but gives me a Printing ERROR with no explanation as to the cause, and then it states it is offline.
What makes this so maddening and unacceptable is that my husband's laptop has NEVER had the printer go offline or had a print error message, and now I have to email him anything I want printed.
Has this happened to anyone else? Is it a laptop brand issue? I am at my wit's end. This supposed to be seamless. What new methods can anyone recommend?
