I can print from my phone too, but only things it sees online. Do you sends things to print from your desktop and can then tell the printer thru your phone to print them?

My printer has worked fine until a month or two. Since then it keeps going offline. I have updated software drivers etc. I need to poke around with troubleshooters etc every time to get it to work. It's then fine for that session but the problem comes back every time i turn it off. Is there any solution to this?

2025-03-17T22:36:21+00:00 no it is not a laptop issue only, i am using a desktop and still i have the same problem with my HP laser printer. what i am doing now is b4 i will print anything i open the HP Smart icon and click on the wrench icon that goes through a diagnose issue and after about 1 minute it says problem fix. that's when i know i can use my printer. i was rebooting all the time but this is a lot faster. i just cannot believe Microsoft has not fixed this problem that has been going on for months now.

2025-03-17T22:07:43+00:00 I've had this problem of Windows 11 on my Dell laptop saying "Printer Offline" for my HP printer for over a year. There is no rhyme or reason for when it does so. When it does that, I check my iPhone 15; it sees the printer and will print anything I want with never a problem. My fix is a pain but works: I shutdown my laptop and the printer, even unplugging the printer for several seconds, then reboot both, and Voila! I can print. At least for a few days, although it has been longer than normal since my last forced reboot. This problem has been occurring for a long time and you'd think Microsoft would get it fixed. But they don't.

2025-03-17T19:47:11+00:00 My printer (Epson ET-5180) worked perfectly when it was connected to my computer via a USB cable. As soon as I added Wi-Fi to it so that I could get it to print from my laptop, I started having the issues of the computer going offline and that stupid error message over and over again. I decided to discontinue using the Wi-Fi option and just send any document from my laptop to my desktop, where I could print it without any problems.
