My Epson Printer is not the same as Andy's mine is Epson ET2803 ecotank wifi
Epson printer will not print since last Windows 11 update, any ideas how to sort this?
Since updating Windows 11 on my laptop, my Epson printer will not print, but laptop can find printer. Documents print from my mobile so I know it is not the printer. Drivers up to date on printer; no pending Windows updates.

To start, try power cycling your Epson printer, laptop, and router. Simply turn them off, wait a few seconds, and then turn them back on. This simple fix often clears up temporary glitches.
Check the Wi-Fi signal strength of your printer to rule out any connectivity issues. If possible, connect the printer directly to your laptop using a USB cable temporarily to see if it prints. This will help determine if the problem lies with the wireless setup.
Another possibility is that the Windows firewall could be blocking communication with the printer.
Temporarily disable the firewall by searching for "Windows Defender Firewall" in the Start menu and turning it off.
Test the printing functionality. If it works, you'll need to create an exception to allow your printer through the firewall afterward. Make sure to re-enable your firewall once done.
As a final step, consider completely reinstalling the printer driver. Faulty drivers are often a major cause of printer issues after updates.
Uninstall the current driver by going to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners > [Your Epson Printer] > Remove device.
Download the latest driver directly from the Epson website for your specific ET-2720 model.
Follow Epson's instructions to install the new driver.
Let me know how these steps go! If none of them work, we can explore some more advanced troubleshooting options.

2024-02-18T16:30:56+00:00 Hi
Thank you for trying to help.
I followed the first instruction, unfortunately that didn't work.
I followed the second instruction - I am not sure which would be the correct port but WSD was ticked. I am using wireless.
I also took the liberty of running troubleshoot but no problem was found, despite the printer status indicating "error".

Emmanuel Santana 40,200 Reputation points Independent Advisor2024-02-18T16:08:07+00:00 Thank you for the information. We can try a few troubleshooting steps.
Let's start with checking the print spooler services:
- Open Windows Services by searching for "Services" in the Start menu.
- Locate the "Print Spooler" service.
- If it's stopped, right-click and select "Start".
- If it's already running, right-click and select "Restart".
Try printing again. If this doesn't work, let's try the next.
- Go to Windows Settings -> Bluetooth & devices -> Printers & scanners.
- Click on your Epson printer.
- Select "Printer properties" and go to the "Ports" tab.
- Make sure the correct port is selected (often a USB port or its IP address if networked).
Let me know the outcome of these two troubleshooting options I provided.

Printer is Epson - s/ET-2720 Eco Tank.
In microsoft office, I select Print, then my printer is displayed and is indicated as "Ready". I then select print. Print queue says "printing", then the following is displayed. The printer is just over a year old.
I have to resort to using my mobile phone to print the documents I need which is very inconvenient, especially if someone else needs to print from the laptop and I'm not around. Therefore, I do not believe my printer is solely the problem.
