Accidentally locked my laptop from my Microsoft Account. How to unlock the device

Hi,

I have created a feedback for the developers, as my boyfriend had locked his laptop in fear that it was lost and we've essentially had a brick for over two months now. I really feel like they need to fix the lack of an "unlock" button or make it very clear the consequences of locking it. I've found posts from years back, so this is a longstanding issue that I truly feel needs prioritized, yet did not see any feedback.

Exact same issue here. F Microsoft support. I have to use a PIN to unlock, I'm and administrator, and it won't unlock and there's no way to find the device and "unlock" it, nor am I allowed to use another user ID or press Cntrl+Alt+Del. We can lock it all day long, but no way to unlock it. Pissed.

It doesnt work my laptop only gives option of a pin. But anything I enter sez needs an admin to log in yet thee is no way to get to a log in screen

Tried entering the password but its looking for the PIN and will not recognise the PIN

Same Issue Here! There is no WAY MS that the only solution is to reinstall windows overall.
