windows update error (0x80070643) for kb5001716

Its looking like their is no support for this fix, I have a fresh copy of window after having to reinstall, same error as before fresh install. all the links that have been posted none of them fix the issues or even try to explain what it may or may not be.. it looks like Microsoft, has clueless zombies working for them.

I was getting the same error. Uninstalling that update (KB5001716) and then checking for new Windows Updates once let it reinstall without error. Just don't click "Check for updates" a second time, else the same error comes back.

It's like it reinstalled both the 2023-3 and the 2023-10 versions at the same time, then when checking again it detects the 2023-10 version is old and tries to install the 2023-3 version but it's also already installed.

Just going to wait and see if Microsoft fixes this, but uninstalling it and checking ONCE for updates does resolve the error if you just don't want to see it.

Yes! Исправил ошибку! Короче, как я писал ранее, прилетело обновление под номером kb5001716 . Это обновление имеет две версии. Одно 2023-10 , другое 2024-3. Так вот, если вначале установить мартовскую версию, то Октябрьская версия не сможет встать поверх свежего ( мартовского) обновления. Исправление- кликнуть настройки windows - приложения, установленные приложения. Найти это обновление - удалить его. Перезагрузить ПК- проверить обновление. Если повезёт( мне повезло) то kb5001716 обе версии установятся без ошибок. Вначале должно встать Октябрьское обновление ( 2023-10) затем уже мартовское ( 2024-3)... Мне совет помог. Обновление встало без ошибок.

Or there’s another workaround that could work for some of you:

1. Open Settings and search Apps & Features.
   
2. Under the list of apps & features installed, you’ll find a new item titled “Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB5001716)”. Select the update, and click uninstall.
3. Reboot your device, and check for updates again. The update will smoothly install without errors if you’re lucky.

I am also having the same problems as everyone above glad to know I am not the only one having this issue also I have tried some of the fixes mentioned and not much changed, also someone else posted about this as well but I found it also so I don't know if this is the reason it's not updating or if it's just a mistake that wasn't supposed to be pushed along with the other update I don't know
