I’ve been struggling with windows randomly deciding to ruin my computer for some months now. Every time I would get the computer to a properly working state for a few days out of nowhere Windows will decide to make the computer unusable one way or another leading me to have to do a fresh install (as doing things like repair installs sometimes ends up completely bricking the computer).
But one thing I’ve noticed is that my fresh installs are never actually properly clean. Sometimes it’s a challenge just to get to the windows setup screen (random bsod’s where no recovery partition is being created for whatever reason) and when I do get into windows sometimes something like edge or MS Store just doesn’t work, but all the time I can never actually download the cumulative windows update (as it always gives an error message during the install portion). SFC /scannow always shows up with a “found corrupted files but could not repair them” message, and DISM usually comes back with a “sources not found” even when using a local usb
So I am wondering what can I do to ensure a proper windows install from the get go? I have been following the procedure of deleting existing volumes and letting windows create things automatically, but that gives the results explained above. Is it a usb problem? A formatting problem? Setting up the PC problem?

It's a usb drive that was created using the media creation tool on my brothers laptop (recently purchased laptop). Unfortunately I do not have another computer to try and create a windows install on
I did notice this particular installation of windows seemed to be one of the lesser ones. Edge/MS store for instance don't load (whereas in some installs they do)
With the problem of the files referenced, I believe the issue came from the .iso.. I fear the .iso wasn't created correctly.. If you do have a chance, I hope you will find a different computer to try it.. and make it is flash drive, not external USB drive.
I’ve ordered a new flash drive so tomorrow I will try again and see if anything changes
In the meanwhile something I’ve been noticing with the failed windows installs (that lead to a bsod) is that sometimes they end up not creating a recovery partition (but the other 3 are created). Is that more iso related or usb related?
I think it is the .iso problem, but if the .iso is not complete, it can be also due to the flash drive.. so it is hard to say.. this is why I asked if you could create the .iso from a different device. Was it a Windows 10 or 11 device used to create it?
It was a windows 11 device (laptop that was purchased only a few months ago). Sometimes it goes all the way and I can get to the setup screen (where you create the user and whatnot). Other times it just bsod’s after it does the automated restart
