Thanks Dan, I know that you have Norton Driver Updater and I have no doubt that it is a driver problem.

I have a in built pop up webcam on my All In One HP pavillion.

First I have discovered that the camera is considered ON when the webcam is down but immediately I pull up the webcam the camera is not discoverable (that gives the different images that I shared earlier: drivers visible v drivers grayed out in the device manager.)

When the webcam is down (OFF) and I can access the drivers to click on their properties the only options I have are to update drivers ( which are up to date) disable and uninstall. The option to ROLL BACK is not an option, it is grayed out.

I will keep typing here in the hope that someone from Microsoft will offer some input.

    Image

Tonight completely randomly, it showed that the camera was there. but the preview wouldn't load and when I opened the camera app it said there was no camera attached,

I have not tried deleting the drivers... the last time I deleted drivers (Win miniports) from the device manager Windows DID NOT automatically download them. And I had an equally frustrating experience as this trying to find suitable drivers to download.

I use Norton Driver Updater that is part of Norton 360 with Lifelock. That's how I knew the problem was with a driver update provided by Microsoft. I used Norton Driver Updater to roll back to the versions that worked the last time I used Zoom.
