Monitor settings randomly change

I've been experiencing an issue with my Philips monitor where the SmartImage feature unpredictably switches to "Racing" mode on its own. Despite manually disabling this setting, it often reactivates itself multiple times until it finally remains off, only to recur upon restarting my PC or monitor. This problem emerged just last week, despite my having used this new PC and monitor setup for nearly a year without any similar issues. I've meticulously reviewed most of the accessible settings without identifying any that could be causing this behavior. Additionally, I've explored the monitor's on-screen menu but found nothing that explains the automatic switch to "Racing" mode, leading me to suspect it might be related to a setting on my PC. However, I've yet to pinpoint exactly what could be triggering this. If anyone has insights or suggestions on how to resolve this, your advice would be immensely valuable.     Exactly the same problem here with my Philips monitor and Windows 10 PC.

    SmartImage problem was resolved by accepting the optional update HP Inc - Software Component 1.68.3815.0 but today another Windows update has installed HP Inc - Software Component 1.68.3826.0 and the problem has returned ... constant changing colour settings to 'Gamer' mode.

    This time it was installed without me selecting it, is there any way of blocking 'optional' updates? This is a screen shot of my recent 'optional' installs.

    Hi Paul,

    The issue drives many people nuts. I followed couple of days back the advise of Vincenzo Sirressi and uninstalled HP One Agent. Haven't been that many hours on my PC since then but it seems it helps to get ride of the 'Racing Mode' issue. Keep my fingers crossed although Vincenzo indicated that HP might install an update of One Agent which might bring the issue back

    Hiya Huub,
    Yes I just 'ended' HP One Agent in Task Manager about a week ago and 'disabled ' it in the Start-up list and all seems to be ok now. If it comes back I'll just have to do it again! I like my SmartImage setting on the monitor to be OFF and stay off. I'll also keep an eye on Windows updates to make sure they don't give me any optional quality (??) updates.

    Hi all:

    I have dealt with the issue since the beginning and manage to solve it with the help of your comments. After a couple of months with no issue whatsoever in the last few days the problem with the smart-image chaos has returned. I tried disabling HP One Agent in the Task Manager (as I hadn't done it previously) and the monitor still reproduces the same problem. I wanted to check whether I'm the only one experiencing this.

    Yes, the frequency of this issue has increased recently. Though we could find a solution back in may june by Huub van.

    They have removed that entire option in the windows update as if someone is intentionally watching this forum and trying to cause issues with philips monitor or hp.

    Do not understand why no support person either from windows, hp or philips are taking any responsibility to solve this 6 7 months problem.

    Now i am worried of wear and tear of my philips button. Itskind of getting damaged as if its done intentionaly to spoil the product. Else why do you think only solution that was found was completely removed. Peripheralcollectors renaming without providing any solution.

    I wonder if HP wants users to ditch Philips Monitors and buy HP monitors
