I've been experiencing an issue with my Philips monitor where the SmartImage feature unpredictably switches to "Racing" mode on its own. Despite manually disabling this setting, it often reactivates itself multiple times until it finally remains off, only to recur upon restarting my PC or monitor. This problem emerged just last week, despite my having used this new PC and monitor setup for nearly a year without any similar issues. I've meticulously reviewed most of the accessible settings without identifying any that could be causing this behavior. Additionally, I've explored the monitor's on-screen menu but found nothing that explains the automatic switch to "Racing" mode, leading me to suspect it might be related to a setting on my PC. However, I've yet to pinpoint exactly what could be triggering this. If anyone has insights or suggestions on how to resolve this, your advice would be immensely valuable. I have HP Envy TE01-3157C Desktop Computer, Intel Core i7-12700F, NVIDIA GTX 1660 Super, 32GB-DDR4 RAM. I have the same problem and have been following this thread from the beginning. I have tried all the troubleshooting but like others have said, nothing works. Perhaps it has something to do with the NVIDIA brand graphics card itself. I was going to swap it out as my final troubleshooting step.
I have almost the same issues as you, my monitor is changing from Off to Racing. I updated my bios, updated the driver, installed the newest driver for my graphics card and for the monitor. But the issue is still not fixed.
I did all that but the issue is still not fixed
My smart image changes between Gamer2 and Off
It surely started after an Update on march 05

I also had done bios update on March 05
I tried Philips smart control software to change to SmartImage OFF - but monitor still switches
apart from these could you check if you have following issues that started nearby
1.Lagging mouse or scroll up down
2.When laptop is disconnected from monitor and you open any photos-> fullscreen(f11 or button)-> double click to zoom -> black window appears (this happens only in laptop disconenct happens across youtube, prime videos fullscreen)
Looking at @Vick2018 comment , new update may help but 2 more updates already installed that did not solve the issue (april 11 2024)

same monitor as you and same issue but mine switches between gamer2 and low blue light mode... its been like this for a while, and today its started switching nonstop for like 5 mins before it stuck to gamer 2... problem is that if i change it to something else it freaks out again
