Monitor settings randomly change

I've been having this problem for a week. In my case I boot up, the monitor switches to Racing mode, and I have to try multiple times to turn it off without it immediately reverting. Then I'm okay for the rest of my session.

Today I discovered something: I can trigger the problem by turning Bluetooth off and on. Doing so pushes me back into Racing mode, and, as on initial start-up, I have to try multiple times to get out of it.

I looked for any Bluetooth related drivers from the past six months or so, and the only one was Realtek Wireless Bluetooth Adapter. Rolling it back hasn't made the problem go away. But perhaps this is information someone might use to find a solution.

Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 5700G

Graphics: Nvidia 3060 Ti

Windows 11 Home build 22631.3527

Shutdown the PC, reboot and when the loading user profile voilà screen revert to racing!

Or Philips have a firmware bug like millenium bug over a date SmartImage are damage or Windows load a module after security upgrade March 2024 wich cause problem on some system with philips monitor.

Next to Philips monitor i have a HP monitor e this don't have a issues beacause don't have a color profiles.

I have the same problem. I do own a Philips monitor 346E2C. Manual resetting to default doesn't help, using Philips SmartControl applications doesn't help.

Something reset the monitor always back to racing mode. I would accept a one time manual reset after every reboot. Right now I loose too much time. It must be a Windows11 issue!

The most annoying is whenever I start WSL (Ubuntu on Windows) the monitor is reset to racing!!!

Here are the full details of this same issue other users are experiencing:

I have three Philips 28 4K monitors with the SmartImage feature, and after a Windows update sometime between mid-March 2024 and April 2024, the three monitors started changing settings on their own. All three monitors change SmartImage mode from SmartUniformity to Gamer1 which is NOT legible for performing work (Excel and Word documents). When the issue happens the settings change three times for each monitor in this sequence, monitor #1, #2, #3, #1, #2, #3, #1, #2, #3. After the monitors settle down, I have to go behind my desk to reach the control button to reset each monitor. This happens multiple times per hour.

I uninstalled all "uninstallable" updates that were made in 2024, which included KB5036620 and a security update, as these were the only two updates in 2024. The issue recurred immediately after reboot. All devices are updated to the latest drivers. I also note that I purchased this PC and the three Philips monitors approximately 6 months ago and have been using this setup for the past ~6 months, error-free, with NO random monitor changes until the issue started in March/April 2024.

This issue wastes approximately 10 minutes of my time for every hour of work. I am approaching the point where I am seriously considering purchasing three new monitors to avoid wasted productivity (which translates to lost revenue), but do not want to spend another $1500+. I don't know what to do. Please help.

The issue recurs 100% of the time when the monitors wake up from sleep and also randomly recurs while actively using the PC (with all monitors already awake). The behavior of the three monitors always changing settings in sequence from #1 to #2 to #3 suggests that Windows (or something in Windows) is iterating through the monitors, forcing the Philips SmartImage setting to change to Gamer1.

Please help as this Windows issue is severely impacting my ability to work.

This morning attach my laptop on my docking and in the first monitor Philips color change to Racing or Gaming 2.

reset my preference on OSD monitor, close the display on laptop 30 sec, bang color change again!

I don't have any Windows updates installed because I deactivated them a month ago via policy.

No driver update or installed

I usually solve this problem by restoring the colors in the Intel and Nvidia video card driver management console, but in this case I can't because screen no. 1 is the one managed by the docking which is not HP but is Toshiba dyndock U3. 0, the intel driver explicitly writes that the monitor is not managed by its driver.

This is frustrating and exhausting.
