Yes, it is.
Unfortunately, I had to use a third-party app to be able to manage the taskbar, all these tweaks won't work.
I'm using StarAllBack and its working very well.

Hello! I recently updated my Windows 10 to Windows 11. However, the taskbar size is too small, and I have followed various methods to fix it but to no avail. Can you please help me fix this issue?

I just upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11 24H2. I cannot believe how many UI changes have been forced upon the user now - just taking away options that I have been using for over 20 years since XP... for what reasons again?
Anyway, regarding the third-party tool options, I recommend the very inexpensive Start11 to provide many of the options for Taskbar functions that we have become used to.
Highliights based on this thread:
I am also evaluating Directory Opus to get more functionality out of my Windows UI, now that Win11 has royally screwed up my productivity for several days now. One thing I do like about Win11 so far is tabbed Explorer windows, but DO has that as well (for a long time).
*** But, Start11 is the lifesaver for those of us still actually USING the taskbar functions that have been taken away inexplicably.
One thing I have not been able to determine is whether I can "stack" the tray icons above the "Quick Launch" icons on the taskbar (in Win7-10, for those of us that like "two rows" on the taskbar, one could left-click-and-hold on the small divider between the running tray icons and the shortcut/quick launch icons and drag it below or above icons to change the position of the tray icons/quick launch icons - I have not been able to reproduce that yet, but Start11 has replaced 90% of the options I was using natively in Windows Taskbar before... HTH some of you too!)
Hi,
regedit fix you gave doesnt work in my Company Laptop. Asking to increase the resolution of windows to reduce the height of Taskbar if not a good recommendation.
Going back to windows 10 is not feasible options in my Company laptop. Trying third party tool Windhawk extension is not at all allowed in my Company laptop.
Taskbar resize option is a prominent feature in widnows10, expected more advanced features in WIndows11 on top of this features.
Please tell me when Microsoft is going to fix this?
with regards
Chandranath
i found a way
in registry
TaskbarAl ==> force 0 value
the taskbar don't resize "automatically" (AI..what a joke....)
