GET /eSCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1.1The question is how do I stop it.

I have an Epson, and I tried this and it worked. Somehow the HP printer setting gets turned on, even if you don't have an HP. Try it. I have been good for a week now:

To add a potential fix into the mix, I was able to solve this for 2 of my users with USB connected Brother printers by going into Task Scheduler, Expanding out Task Scheduler Library > HP > HP Print Scan Doctor, and changing "Print Health Monitor" and "Print Health Monitor Logon" to Disable.

These computers do not have HP printers, are not HP computers, and should in no way have had this HP software, but disabling it resolved the issue of the 1 page error printing.

Alright, Daniel! I did this suggestion just now so fingers crossed. Will report back tomorrow and let you know if it worked. I do have an HP printer AND an HP computer and there is only 1 printer (one of 3 HP printers and the only one that has to be USB connected) that is USB connected. I did your suggestions so hopefully it works. I have deleted that HP Print/Scan Doctor so many times and while it does stop the messages for a few hours, it always loads it back on the system when the computer restarts so it is only temporary. I am not sure how it is getting loaded back on again but it is. If you attempt to google how to remove it from your system completely, it is hard to find any solution as most of them tell you how to use it even when you are entering "remove HP PrintScan from my computer" so it is obvs a garbage program HP/MS enjoy loading us with.

I am almost 2 weeks into this solution and so far it has worked. I panicked yesterday for a short second thinking it had started up again when the laser printer I have spat out an extra page, but when I looked at it, it was completely blank and after investigating, someone had added a blank page to the documenet I was printing so wasn't a waste of paper OR ink. 🤗

I am going out on a limb and going to say that HP and the other printer companies KNOW this solution or whatever will work for their printers but refuse to divulge it or allow techs to spend the time trying to troubleshoot/repair this issue because it sells more ink for them. MS on the other hand could give a monkey's you know what whether we get a fix or not. They know we have to use Windows and MS products and we are all locked in.

I hope this sticks. If it doesn't, guaranteed I will be back. But so far Daniel1 saved my bacon!

I have an Epson 4730 printer at work. I have gone through about 2 reams of paper over the past 3 months with this problem. This solution has worked for a week now. THANK YOU!!!!!! It appears that, no matter what printer or computer you have, somehow this HP printer setting gets turned on and the new update to Windows 11 makes it do this. I am no expert, but that is my view!! So no matter what you have, try this. I found the 2 spots with these directions, and once both were turned off, the problem has gone away. Yey!

I am glad it did!~ I didn't come up with it. Someone on this post called Daniel1 did and I thank that person 100%. I am almost at 2 weeks with zero issues and that Daniel1 should be getting paid by HP, Epson, Canon AND MS for having fixed this.

Step 4 worked for me. C'mon microsoft

I tried multiple suggestions to stop this issue from wasting paper without success. During the multiple set-up attempts, I used a USB cable to connect the printer to my desktop computer. What finally worked was uninstalling all the Brother software and then installing the latest Brother driver package as a wireless connection instead of a USB cable connection. This stopped the printer status statements from printing.
