It's still not fixed for me. The only workaround for me on my Epson printer is to turn the printer off after I am finishing printing. If I have several documents to print at the same time, that works. The problem arises when there is a gap after I have finished printing the last document.
I still feel that the printer is not being released by the operating system. It appears that some kind of code needs to be sent to the printer to tell it not to wait for another print job. After a certain time lapse and nothing from the O/S, the printer goes into an error state.
It's now almost a year since this error first appeared. From my perspective, it should be a simple fix. It is absolutely Microsoft's bug.
