My printer is prompted to print this at the top of pages, usually from drawer #2 which is envelopes. I have an Epson WF-4740. The information on line indicates that this is an across the board problem. I have contacted Epson and they say it is a Microsoft problem. To date I have tried every suggested fix but nothing stops it. Extremely frustrating!!!!
End.

First and foremost, this is a Microsoft problem. All you can do is find a way to get your printing done cleaning until Microsoft fixes its bug. This is happening to all sorts of printers. It's not in the printer. It's in the operating system's communication with a printer. There should be a generic routine in the O/S that sends a release to any printer. The problem is not quite that simple because of the variety of printers. That's where Microsoft has failed. Whatever branching logic it's using to accommodate scanners, etc., is failing when all you want to do is print and be done. Your printer is waiting for that sign off from Microsoft.
This is a pain but will work. When you are done printing, turn off the printer, wait a bit, and then turn it back on. That worked for me until, by some serendipity, my test of wifi and usb seemed to reset my Windows 11 parameters. When I went back to simple usb to the printer and direct cable connect for my Dell Inspiron, the maddening error message disappeared never to return again.
Try turning your printer off after a print job and turning it back on. Microsoft hasn't fixed this problem in over a year.
