AirPrint is a protocol of the printer that you can disable from the EWS of the printer. I'm going to try that on someone I know who has the issue, I'll try that later today. As a second option, I'll probably disable SNMP bi-directional communication also for testing purposes.
GET /eSCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1.1The question is how do I stop it.
My printer is prompted to print this at the top of pages, usually from drawer #2 which is envelopes. I have an Epson WF-4740. The information on line indicates that this is an across the board problem. I have contacted Epson and they say it is a Microsoft problem. To date I have tried every suggested fix but nothing stops it. Extremely frustrating!!!!
End.

2023-04-17T18:21:58+00:00 JohnL GB, it's unrelated to the device connecting to the printer, but rather within the settings/configuration of the printer itself.
DouglasJimenez1, we tried disabling bi-directional communications and unchecking the SNMP Status Enabled first but that didn't resolve the issue for us.

2023-04-18T00:21:48+00:00 So far, for me, the issue hasn't come back since I disabled AirPrint on the printer. I'll double-check with the actual customer/end-user tomorrow to confirm. If this works, it's definitely a good workaround while Microsoft finds out the root cause and what triggers it. Well, I guess Microsoft gets triggered by Apple by default.

2023-04-18T01:26:39+00:00 I no longer get the ""Get /eSCL/...." printout that I was getting earlier...a nice step back to normalcy. The only remaining problem is that the computer appears to be pinging the printer often. The printer stays on constantly. (I have the control panel on the printer setting to have the printer go to sleep after 4 minutes if no print jobs have come through. It always worked before the upgrade to Windows 11.
I do not have wireless connection capability on this HP LaserJet Enterprise M553 printer. I'm using USB cable connection.
I have a Brother MFC-L37500CDW multi-function printer/scanner. Was working fine. Upgraded to Windows 11 and now whenever it wakes up from sleeping, it prints a 2-line page saying:
Get /eSCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1.1
Host: Localhost
Uninstalled Printer, reinstalled -- no change
Updated printer firmware -- no change
Switched USB cable to another USB port -- no change
From what I have seen on multiple forums, this is happening with multiple printers and multiple brands. The only constant is they are all connected via USB and all started happening when upgraded to Windows 11.

Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately, it did not resolve the issue, but it was worth a try. This is beyond frustrating, I've gone through close to a ream of paper due since this started and Wi-Fi is not an option for me.
