Yep, Joe. It's Microsoft's issue. I noticed something the other day, after I installed some new ink cartridges on my printer. The problem did not occur as long as my pc session was active. If I let the pc's screen saver start, the moment I "woke" up my pc, the printer spit out that error message.
If I stayed active and didn't touch the printer, it was fine. I have no idea why. I have not applied any updates but did apply all the suggestions made on this long thread. I have .
I'll go back to the drawing board and test some permutations and combinations to see if I can suss out a pattern...
