Highly recommend trying this. This worked for me. Client previously had an hp printer, I was installing a new brother printer.
GET /eSCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1.1The question is how do I stop it.
My printer is prompted to print this at the top of pages, usually from drawer #2 which is envelopes. I have an Epson WF-4740. The information on line indicates that this is an across the board problem. I have contacted Epson and they say it is a Microsoft problem. To date I have tried every suggested fix but nothing stops it. Extremely frustrating!!!!
End.

2023-10-20T13:58:42+00:00 Same printer and windows system. I have had win 11 for over a year but the problem just started 2 or 3 months ago. My assessment is that the problem started with an update to win 11 as it is affecting several makes and models of printers. Microsoft needs to check into the problem and fix it.

2023-10-18T17:03:28+00:00 I have had the same problem with an Epson printer. I previously had an HP printer. After much playing around and looking at stuff running in the background: The problem appears to be a conflict with the HP Print Scan Doctor Service. After removing it the problem stopped.
