This error never occurred on my PC until an update was done. If we solve this problem we will solve "Global Warming" because of all the wasted paper that is used when this damn error prints....

My printer is prompted to print this at the top of pages, usually from drawer #2 which is envelopes. I have an Epson WF-4740. The information on line indicates that this is an across the board problem. I have contacted Epson and they say it is a Microsoft problem. To date I have tried every suggested fix but nothing stops it. Extremely frustrating!!!!

From my perspective, the operating system is not releasing the printer properly after a job is printed. There has been some improvement but it is transitory. When I print something, it seems to me that the printer is waiting for another job. The display on the panel is this:
It does not revert to the "idle" display:
If I print something and manually close the "Printing Complete", it now takes over an hour to generate the error message. In the past, the error would happen within 10 or 15 minutes. The only way to prevent that is to power down the printer and restart it. The printer is clearly waiting for release from the operating system.
If the printer's screen saver is activated, the time for the error message to appear is shorter. However, if I turn my pc off completely, no error message is generated.
My question to Microsoft is why doesn't the operating system release the printer? I can work around this bug by turning off the printer every time I know there will be some lapse between print jobs but I forget to do that sometimes. The amount of wasted paper in over 6 months of this remaining a bug is truly aggravating.

2023-10-26T15:30:11+00:00 I have a Brother MFC-L37500CDW multi-function printer/scanner. Was working fine. Upgraded to Windows 11 and now whenever it wakes up from sleeping, it prints a 2-line page saying:
Get /eSCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1.1
Host: Localhost
Uninstalled Printer, reinstalled -- no change
Updated printer firmware -- no change
Switched USB cable to another USB port -- no change
From what I have seen on multiple forums, this is happening with multiple printers and multiple brands. The only constant is they are all connected via USB and all started happening when upgraded to Windows 11.
I was experiencing the same issue as everyone else within this forum. My fix was to configure the printer for Wi-Fi, avoiding the usb port altogether. I no longer have the issue with the status pages auto printing every day. It took two seconds.
