My printer is prompted to print this at the top of pages, usually from drawer #2 which is envelopes. I have an Epson WF-4740. The information on line indicates that this is an across the board problem. I have contacted Epson and they say it is a Microsoft problem. To date I have tried every suggested fix but nothing stops it. Extremely frustrating!!!!

    I have an Epson Workforce 3820 for work and have wasted so much paper and ink. PLEASE HELP!

    Tried this:

    The error message "GET/eSCL/ScannerStatus/HTTP/1.1. Host: Localhost" can occur when Windows print notifications are enabled for local printers. To fix this, you can try turning off Windows print notifications for local printers:

    1. Open Settings
    2. Click Bluetooth & Devices
    3. Click Printers & scanners
    4. Scroll down to Related settings and click Print server properties
    5. Click the Advanced tab
    6. Uncheck Show informational notifications for local printers
    7. Click Apply then OK

    And this:

    If the message still appears, you can try turning off your printer's status monitor:

    1. Right-click the printer icon in the taskbar
    2. Select Printer Settings
    3. Click the Maintenance tab
    4. Click Speed & Progress
    5. Select Disable EPSON Status Monitor 3
    6. Click OK to save your settings

    And this:

    1. Win+R and type services.msc, find "print spooler" in the list of services, right click on it - properties, set the startup type to "Automatic", then click OK to close it.
    2. WIN + S search control panel, open the device and printer, select printer properties - device settings - installable options, disable the "printer status notification", for different brands of printers and driver versions of this portal interface may be different.

    NOTHING WILL STOP IT. PLEASE HELP

    same. after deleting all the HP scan doctor tasks they just all reappeared today after several months of peace and quiet. I have this topic bookmarked, so every time my PC updates I can find the path to disable it again. Everything seems to be back to quiet again with my printer. The constant jogging back and forth of the printer head was the most annoying thing to me, even more than the wasted paper.

    I have the ET 4700 and I never upgraded to 11, Mine started to do it after I accidentally updated my firmware.

    I have the ET-4750 and it has been doing this for over 2 years before I upgraded to windows 11. So I don't believe that is the problem.

    I'd rather go through it again it saves a lot of paper doing it and updates aren't that often.
