GET /eSCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1.1The question is how do I stop it.

My printer is prompted to print this at the top of pages, usually from drawer #2 which is envelopes. I have an Epson WF-4740. The information on line indicates that this is an across the board problem. I have contacted Epson and they say it is a Microsoft problem. To date I have tried every suggested fix but nothing stops it. Extremely frustrating!!!!

End.

I have both Epson and an HP. The HP deleted Scan doctor stopped it. Dunno.

Most of the suggestions i have seen for changing settings reference fields that don't exist for my older printer driver for which there are no updates.

My only option has been to disconnect the USB port when not in use and reconnecting when needed. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before i wear out the USB port.

Really sad that Microsoft can't undo whatever they changed to cause this.

What if all three options are turned OFF--and the ANNOYING "Get /eSCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1.1

Host: Localhost" message prints out ANYWAY?! Should I send my printer ink and paper bills to MICROSOFT--seeing as they seem to think that we have an ENDLESS supply? LOL

I use an EPSON printer--so I doubt if any HP software exists on my system.

    Thanks anyway.

I went in and deleted (uninstalled) all the extra HP garbage. So far so good. All you really need is the drivers anyway.
