My printer is prompted to print this at the top of pages, usually from drawer #2 which is envelopes. I have an Epson WF-4740. The information on line indicates that this is an across the board problem. I have contacted Epson and they say it is a Microsoft problem. To date I have tried every suggested fix but nothing stops it. Extremely frustrating!!!!

End.

Having the same issue with a HP new printer. It was printing that message to my Canon every time I printed to the HP.

I went in to the Canon settings and changed the printer spoiling to "Disable". Then printed to my HP. Then went back and changed my settings for my Canon again, to "Automatic". Now it prints fine.

Yes, the stupid solution has obvious benefits but unfortunately I often use my printer for pre-formatted sequential forms and the printout of that STUPID message is unpredictable (and, in line with Murphy's Law, is almost certain to print whenever the forms are loaded).

I feel your pain, NewNumber2. Mine is with company checks I print out OR costly labels we use. I have gotten to where I save that one **** page that is printed out for the day and TRY to remember to insert it back in the laser printer prior to any print job. I doubt that would work for you NOR is it a smart solution! LOL! Sadly, we have all resorted to having to unplug the USB and I can't do that with the one that is affected because it is the ONLY one that won't print unless it is connected via cable. Ridiculous. WE are on page 33 on this ONE SIMPLE to fix issue, I would assume, because MS is supposed to hire only the brightest of techs, right??? I think not...

Thanks. This has not worked for many in this forum, including me. Not sure why it does for some, not others!

It will only work temporarily for Laurie, I am thinking.

Although mine is an Epson WF110, this Brother solution seems to have worked (I have two Brother printers not hooked up to USBs, so I'm ready if I ever need to reconfigure their connection).

    Thanks for providing this.

I must rescind my original optimism here. The problem continues. It appears to happen less frequently than it used to but with precisely the same symptoms. My workaround of using the WiFi Direct connection will have to do. Yet another MS problem in the never-addressed bin.

Yes. Sadly, we all have come to this conclusion that any solution offered on here will only be temporary- OTHER THAN unplugging USB cable and not using the cable at all. I was able to get it to stop for nearly a year in the beginning with one of these solutions which leads me to believe MS did some type of "patch" or "update" afterward that caused it to start again. it was the one that has been offered about 10 times by others who claim to uncheck boxes and it works. Also, deleting the HP Print and Scan Doc cannot be a perm solution either as Epson and Canon printers on here don't have that installed on their computers. I tried Googling this a.m. when I saw your post "How to Contact Microsoft regarding an issue after an update/upgrade" and they have either removed any possible solutions or there are none. They are a ghost. I hope someone on here can make friends with someone who works there and ask them wth is going on. I normally go through a ream of 500 pages in 2 weeks and now I go through them in 1 week due to the number of these pages being spit out. Any environmentalists on here able to contact someone in this company to stop the waste????
