GET /eSCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1.1The question is how do I stop it.

My printer is prompted to print this at the top of pages, usually from drawer #2 which is envelopes. I have an Epson WF-4740. The information on line indicates that this is an across the board problem. I have contacted Epson and they say it is a Microsoft problem. To date I have tried every suggested fix but nothing stops it. Extremely frustrating!!!!

End.

I have had the same problem with a Canon ImageCLASS MF445dw printer connected to a Dell XPS Laptop running Windows 11 Home since I got the printer several years ago. As noted in hundreds of other posts on this subject, the problem comes and goes, uses reams of paper, disappears, then reappears with each Windows update. I have tried every solution posted on these sites numerous times with no resolution. One recent post suggested that the problem might actually be due to an orphaned HP program residing on my computer from a previous printer. I looked through all my apps and found one called "HP Smart". Inasmuch as I no longer have any HP devices connected to this computer, I deleted that app. The GET/eSCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1.1 Host: localhost messages immediately ceased printing and have not reappeared for several weeks now. I believe the problem has been resolved by removing the residual HP Smart app.

    David and DanielPratt1,

Same thing. I noticed that Windows 11 is trying to do an update as well where it already PERFORMED the update and just wants me to restart so it can finish. Definitely MS issue not HP

    Well, my saga continues.

As soon as I deleted the HP app, my Epson printer printed that message 3 times on the same page.

I turned off the printer and went into another room.

Came back and there was a page of paper sticking out from my turned-off printer with the same message.

Next day, I switched the usb printer cable to a different port and am now back to 1 time a day, between 6 and 6:15 pm EST.

Daniel, after 10 quiet days, the printer message appeared again. Went immediately to your Task Scheduler solution and sure enough the HP print health monitor had switched back to active. I changed them again to Disable. Question is there any way to disable them permanently? Thanks

    Greetings,

I found the HP print doctor in my app list.

As soon as I uninstalled, the Epson printer printed out the message.

    Strange.
