Greetings to all, I finally got around to doing the fix describes below about renaming the HP scandoctor exc. fix and it seems to be working. I now have both my Epson and my HP printer on and the Epson is not printing out the messages.I looked at the dates on the files and they said Jan 20, 2024, and that is when this problem started.Hope it holds.Jim Musgrove
GET /eSCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1.1The question is how do I stop it.
My printer is prompted to print this at the top of pages, usually from drawer #2 which is envelopes. I have an Epson WF-4740. The information on line indicates that this is an across the board problem. I have contacted Epson and they say it is a Microsoft problem. To date I have tried every suggested fix but nothing stops it. Extremely frustrating!!!!
End.

2024-03-23T09:37:09+00:00 Hi DBellaa, BillTxn, All,
Thanks again for the help. No more of the messages for a week now after deleting all HP Diagnostics files from the C Drive. I had previously changed the settings of both printers per the suggestions in this thread (which didn't fully solve the issue).
If the messages resume after the next Epson software update, I'll retire the HP printer and purge the computer of everything HP. The cartridges are too expensive anyway.

2024-03-22T20:31:39+00:00 Following the edits to the Windows printer settings, the printer remained "quiet" for several weeks. Then, following a software update from Epson, it began printing the report again. I then went into the HP settings and adjusted the printer commands (you will find those guidelines in an earlier part of this thread). The printer has not tried to produce the report for several weeks.
