My printer is prompted to print this at the top of pages, usually from drawer #2 which is envelopes. I have an Epson WF-4740. The information on line indicates that this is an across the board problem. I have contacted Epson and they say it is a Microsoft problem. To date I have tried every suggested fix but nothing stops it. Extremely frustrating!!!!

I have 2x Dell E525w's connected through USB's to two separate PC's and one of them is printing out a sheet of paper with two lines of text stating:
GET /eSCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1.1
Host: localhost
It prints very regularly.
The other PC is working correctly with the printer. Both PC's are running Windows 10 Business. I have tried all of the above recommendations and the problem still persists on the 1 PC. Does anyone have a solution?
None of the suggestions work for me and at my wits end. HP Tower and Lexmark MC3326 Printer which uses USB connection.
Tower and Printer came with Windows 10 and the Scan runs under the installed Microsoft software NOT the printer system.
It worked perfectly with Windows 10 and the issue only happened when I was moved to Windows 11 - with nothing else changed.
It seemed to stop for a while an an upgrade but is back now and I have a substantial stack of printouts that simply waste paper and causes increasing concern - as we are all told to reduce the use of paper to help the planet.
Given it never happened under Windows 10 with exactly the same system and Scan software it MUST be a Microsoft 11 issue and MUST be addressed by Microsoft. Or don't they concern them selves about ecological responsibilities!!!!!!!!

This is a recent occurrence with my work pc / printer. Guessing the last 3 weeks or so. Possibly related to a windows update? I do refrain from printer system updates allowing for ink cartridge options. Today I deleted "HP Smart" suggested by various other post as a possible solution. I also have an Epson WF-7840 at my home running on W10 and yet to encounter the printer message. Fingers crossed the HP Smart removal solves my problem. I'll reply with additional post / updates how things continue to play out.
Join the club, Louis. I thought it was a Windows 11 issue so you have confirmed it has existed for more than a year.
I still maintain that Windows has failed to release a printer to its idle state after printing is finished. The printer keeps waiting for some notification. The scanner bit is confusing because that message comes even if you haven't done any scanning.
On my Epson, there is a check mark display on the printer when a job is done. I tried simply clicking on that to see if the printer is released but no such luck. I have to turn the printer off completely if there is more than about 10 minutes between print jobs. Then no error appears. Even if the error doesn't print but I leave the printer on for 10 mins or so and turn it off, THEN the error message prints.
The silence from Microsoft is deafening...
