GET /eSCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1.1The question is how do I stop it.

Microsoft did something on the qt between August 6 and August 7. I hope they are monitoring this thread. I had been fine for two months and on August 7th, the error reappeared.

Same thing. I had eliminated the error after a strange series of switching to wifi and back to direct connect (using a usb dongle). On August 7, I woke up to find a single page printed with 3 of the errors printed on it. I repeated the steps I had done in the past taking a hard reboot in between to no avail.

I'm back at square one. I have to turn off my printer if I am not going to print after 10 or so minutes.

This has been going on for over a year and a half. It is unbelievably counter productive for my work.

It was an ethernet patch cable that the tech had suggested. I can't remember if I decided not to worry about it due to cost, or lack of availability for my printer. Either way, moving forward, I'll just turn the printer off when not in use. As I'm retired, I don't print a lot these days and recycle the paper as the message is at the top of the page so when I'm just printing something for myself I just use the reverse side.

It's not just a windows 11 issue, I don't have windows 11 I never upgraded and had the problem but went thru the steps and finally stopped the Get /eSCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1:1 Host error.

That sounds good. I definitely don't have wifi capability on my printer so can't give that a go. I might however try directly connecting to the modem and then bringing it back to the laptop and see if it 'rights itself that way.

Wifi is an operating system option when you are not connected directly to the internet. It's not a card. It's part of the networkng settings.

My desktop is typically connected to the internet more or less directly. I say more or less because before the advent of ubiquitous portable pcs, desktops were stationary with a port for an internet cable, referred to then as an RS232 cable. I have a special dongle that handles the cable connection ultimately through a usb to my Dell Inspiron.

What I did, that mysteriously, "fixed" the error was unplug the direct connection to the internet, connect to my home router's wifi and print. That is, I connected wirelessly to the internet but used the usb printer plug to print. What makes absolutely no sense to me is why, when connected directly to the internet, I get the printer error using the same usb connection to my printer but when I printed connected by wifi, I did not get the error. Even more puzzling is why, after that successful wifi print, subsequent direct connections are error free. This is why I say it's not a printer specific error. I used the same physical connection to my Epson printer when I was connected directly to the internet and when I was connected to the internet using wifi. No error with wifi.

It makes no sense unless there is something in the o/s wifi software that resets whatever is messed up in the o/s print routines.

Starting more than a year ago, when the error first appeared for me, I've applied every suggestion in this thread to no avail. Nothing fixed the error. I have been error free since this crazy one time dip over to wifi a couple of months ago. I am connected directly now and can even leave my printer on overnight.
