My printer is prompted to print this at the top of pages, usually from drawer #2 which is envelopes. I have an Epson WF-4740. The information on line indicates that this is an across the board problem. I have contacted Epson and they say it is a Microsoft problem. To date I have tried every suggested fix but nothing stops it. Extremely frustrating!!!!

    Try this:

    Windows 11 & 10

    1. Select the Start button then chose Settings.
    2. Select Devices.
    3. Select Printers & scanners.
    4. Scroll down to the Related settings section and select the Print server properties link.
    5. Select the Advanced tab.
    6. Uncheck the following boxes:
      • Show informational notifications for local printers.
      • Show informational notifications for network printers.
    7. Click OK.

    That sounds great but I do not have WiFi in my shop where printer and computer are. Thanks for trying.

    I have EXACTLY the same printer. I disconnected the USB, uninstalled the printer completely shut the PC down and restarted it then reinstalled the printer but selected Wi-Fi installation. It's worked fine ever since.

    I am having the same issue. I have a Brother MFC L8900CDW have done everything suggested and it is still doing it.

    My post yesterday had, unfortunately, an unknown error. When I shut down my pc last night, I left the printer on, thinking the problem had been corrected by Microsoft. When I started up my pc today, the error was back.

    Turning off the pc plays a part in clearing the error condition. I will continue to test alternatives but, bottom line, the only way to "refresh" the ready condition of the printer is to turn it off. The printer just is not getting the all clear from the O/S.
