GET /eSCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1.1The question is how do I stop it.

My printer is prompted to print this at the top of pages, usually from drawer #2 which is envelopes. I have an Epson WF-4740. The information on line indicates that this is an across the board problem. I have contacted Epson and they say it is a Microsoft problem. To date I have tried every suggested fix but nothing stops it. Extremely frustrating!!!!

End.

I also have an HP Officejet Pro 6978 that I use for B&W printing only, since it quit doing color.

I did have the HP assistant program that you mentioned, but it disappeared when I installed the HP OMEN PC.

When I have both printers on, the Epson goes crazy with the printing. The same 2 lines one after another.

I now have only one printer on at a time.

Do you have hpsupportassistant? Based on another post, I downloaded that app from hp.com/go/hpsupportassistant to see if it would update any HP software on my computer. It did not because it said it was incompatible with my Dell. Perhaps it would help on yours

    Thanks for the information.

I have an HP Omen Computer and an Epson WF-7840.

The only HP apps I have installed are:

    HP Audio Switch

    HP Connection Optimizer

    HP Documentation

    HP JumpStarts

    HP Privacy Settings.

As I said in one of my previous posts, it looks like I get this message printed out each day between 6:00 and 6:20 pm EXT.

Can't get rid of it. 2 lines printed on an 8 1/2 sheet of paper.

I have had the same problem with a Canon ImageCLASS MF445dw printer connected to a Dell XPS Laptop running Windows 11 Home since I got the printer several years ago. As noted in hundreds of other posts on this subject, the problem comes and goes, uses reams of paper, disappears, then reappears with each Windows update. I have tried every solution posted on these sites numerous times with no resolution. One recent post suggested that the problem might actually be due to an orphaned HP program residing on my computer from a previous printer. I looked through all my apps and found one called "HP Smart". Inasmuch as I no longer have any HP devices connected to this computer, I deleted that app. The GET/eSCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1.1 Host: localhost messages immediately ceased printing and have not reappeared for several weeks now. I believe the problem has been resolved by removing the residual HP Smart app.

    David and DanielPratt1,

Same thing. I noticed that Windows 11 is trying to do an update as well where it already PERFORMED the update and just wants me to restart so it can finish. Definitely MS issue not HP
