Quick Questions. Is your laptop an HP? When you open up Task Scheduler and expand out the Task Scheduler Library, do you see HP > HP Print Scan Doctor?
I'm still trying to figure out how one of my users who didn't have anything HP related had this Task Scheduled on his computer which was causing this issue until I disabled the 2 tasks within the HP Print Scan Doctor folder.
Daniel Pratt1,
I have seen this on so many boards across the web. People who don't have any HP related items are having that HP Scan doctor somehow installed on their computers after the update. As an HP computer/printer owner, I will be the first to admit, that program is absolute trash and rarely does anything other than lock up your computer when you run it then tell you it doesn't see any issues and you will need to contact HP directly. It will require an update every time you use it, even if you just used it 2 hours prior and it will reinstall itself so that you have MULTIPLE copies of it on your system rather than simply updating. I just found this out when my tech was trying to find the source of this error printing issue. He also found that no matter how deep in he went to delete it, it will always reinstall itself in the background when I restart my system. I also have a brand new LG laptop but have not had any issues with it so far as I only use wireless printing with it on my HP printers. I did go in and attempt to use your Task Scheduler suggestion that worked flawlessly on my HP computer though and HP does not even show up on that LG laptop so it is a mystery for sure.
Thank you for that suggestion. So far, I am 2 weeks in on your recommendation as of tomorrow and not ONE page printed !!!! 2 years of this on my HP Laserjet Enterprise M553...TWO YEARS!!! And your solution finally worked. You are a genius. I hope you tell your significant other this when you get home today. LOL!
