I did this and after 24 hours it started again. so frustrating
GET /eSCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1.1The question is how do I stop it.
My printer is prompted to print this at the top of pages, usually from drawer #2 which is envelopes. I have an Epson WF-4740. The information on line indicates that this is an across the board problem. I have contacted Epson and they say it is a Microsoft problem. To date I have tried every suggested fix but nothing stops it. Extremely frustrating!!!!
End.

2023-12-28T21:21:28+00:00 Your are wrong Palcouk. Over 700 complaints of the same thing on any number of printers and computers tells me it is a Microsoft problem. I reset both computer and printer to factory specs and let Microsoft load the drivers and it still hasn't fixed the issue. Nor has any of the dozens of so called "fixes" posted on the internet. This also occurs with WIFI connected printers not just usb ones.

2023-12-25T15:34:56+00:00 Most of the suggestions i have seen for changing settings reference fields that don't exist for my older printer driver for which there are no updates.
My only option has been to disconnect the USB port when not in use and reconnecting when needed. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before i wear out the USB port.
Really sad that Microsoft can't undo whatever they changed to cause this.
