My printer is prompted to print this at the top of pages, usually from drawer #2 which is envelopes. I have an Epson WF-4740. The information on line indicates that this is an across the board problem. I have contacted Epson and they say it is a Microsoft problem. To date I have tried every suggested fix but nothing stops it. Extremely frustrating!!!!

End.

Unfortunately nothing I have tried works. From all I have read it appears to be a Windows issue and is not a printer issue. Some have had success with removing the USB connection and using only blue tooth connection to the printer. My pc is not capable of connecting via blue tooth so that option is out for me but you might try it if you have the ability to connect to the printer without the cable.

I think I finally figured it out for me. Maybe it will help others too. Most advice tells you to find the Installed features or Installable options, but this is wrong.

Instead you need to scroll down to related settings and Print Server Properties:

Then the Advanced Tab, then click Change Advanced Settings, then uncheck Show... for both of those.

I wasted so much photo paper before I figured this out!! So whoever said this is a Windows problem not a printer problem, you're right, Windows hasn't updated any documentation of this feature yet.

I use that printer for photo printing. It's old and very reliable but it was printing random pages so I kept having to turn it off or I'd come back to a stack of error printouts on photo paper! I even tried to turn it off and it kept using the USB to power it back on! I had to unplug it! That's how insane this error is!

Microsoft done us wrong with this one. It should be off by default.

The Status Monitor 3 does not offer a disable option, but thank you for your assistance. That's more information than I have ever received from Epson!
