GET /eSCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1.1The question is how do I stop it.

My printer is prompted to print this at the top of pages, usually from drawer #2 which is envelopes. I have an Epson WF-4740. The information on line indicates that this is an across the board problem. I have contacted Epson and they say it is a Microsoft problem. To date I have tried every suggested fix but nothing stops it. Extremely frustrating!!!!

End.

That did NOT fix the problem. It looked hopeful at first.

    Here's what I did:

    1. Turned the printer off and on
    2. Waited 15 minutes. No error message! In the past, the printer would have started "grunting" and any printout would have the error message at the top.
    3. Printed something successfully.
    4. Waited 15 minutes. No error message again.
    5. Printed something successfully.

I thought the problem was solved but after about an hour, the printer started "grunting" like in the past. I printed something and the error message printed at the top of the page.

Better but not fixed. That might have been part of it but there's still something wrong on the Microsoft side. This is over 6 months old. This is absurd.

"GET/eSCL/ScannerStatus/HTTP/1.1" printing unexpectedly - Windows1. Open Settings. 2. Click Bluetooth & Devices. 3. Click Printers & scanners. 4. Scroll down until you get to the "Related settings" category. ... 5. Click the Advanced tab. 6. Remove the check from Show informational notifications for local printers. 7. Click Apply → OK.
