My printer is prompted to print this at the top of pages, usually from drawer #2 which is envelopes. I have an Epson WF-4740. The information on line indicates that this is an across the board problem. I have contacted Epson and they say it is a Microsoft problem. To date I have tried every suggested fix but nothing stops it. Extremely frustrating!!!!

    Sadly, this is what I do myself; turn the Epson printer ON to print specific item and then immediately turn it OFF until I need to print again. Very irritating but I use my Epson WF-3820 for color prints only. This has saved many, many sheets of paper and the black ink cartridge.

    Have you tried this? It was posted by Brother so most people probably ignored it who don't have a Brother printer, but it's actually an adjustment in your Window's 11 printer setting so will work for ANY make. It's fairly easy to do, follow these steps.

    To resolve printing: "GET/eSCL/ScannerStatus/HTTP/1.1", turn off the Windows 11 print notifications for local printers:

    1. Open Settings.
    2. Click Bluetooth & Devices.
    3. Click Printers & scanners.
    4. Scroll down until you get to the "Related settings" category. Click Print server properties.

    1. Click the Advanced tab.

    6. Remove the check from Show informational notifications for local printers.

    7. Click Apply → OK.

    I have done this but switching to WIFI worked for me so I don't know for sure if this is a solution (meaning that I haven't switched back to USB) but it looks right. Good luck!

    I agree, I've tried everything. If I leave my printer on, I come back in my office to about 10 sheets of paper with eSCL.... printed at the top. If I turn off my printer, then I can't print from my phone or laptop wirelessly during the day

    I have the exact same problem. Everything I have tried above does not fix the issue for us.

    Hopefully there is a fix for this ASAP
