I'm having the same issue with Windows 10 and a Epson WF-7840. It started a few weeks ago. I believe it started after a Windows update.
GET /eSCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1.1The question is how do I stop it.
My printer is prompted to print this at the top of pages, usually from drawer #2 which is envelopes. I have an Epson WF-4740. The information on line indicates that this is an across the board problem. I have contacted Epson and they say it is a Microsoft problem. To date I have tried every suggested fix but nothing stops it. Extremely frustrating!!!!
End.

2024-05-08T20:01:04+00:00 I just made the change suggested on eliminating the HP scan spool running. Thus far it eliminated the problem for me. I realize what you are saying that it may appear. Just have to take each day and appreciate that. Unfortunately, we live in a world where we are controlled by machines ( and those who control them). and it is not getting any better

2024-05-08T16:16:35+00:00 Months after making the changes suggested here and eliminating the problem, it has returned.
What happened? Microsoft did an overnight update and the problem is back.
If anyone from Microsoft is listening, it's bad enough that you won't fix the problem but when the user corrects it, you insist on undoing the fix. What in hell is wrong with you.

2024-05-07T14:27:21+00:00 I didn’t need to find that, see the latest one I posted, none of the other directions worked for me, only the latest post where I thanked the person who submitted their suggestion.
