Windows 11 is awful.

You're absolutely right. It's not better today, For the record, been on Windows since 3.11 and am a Windows Server Administrator by trade.

-Performance is about 30% less than Windows 10. Same hardware, but my CPU, GPU and RAM is getting assaulted. constant hangs on a core 19-10850K, Z490 AORUS PRO AX, 32GB of the best RAM my board can handle, (2) 3.0 NVME Drives (Yes, I know the board doesn't support 4.0) and a GTX 3080 TI. RE4 Remake runs about 20FPS less than previous.
-Security is insane, wireshark shows my PC is sending EVERYTHING. My guess is that this is exactly what Microsoft is doing, your system is mining everything you do, say, or download/upload and sending it back to Microsoft HQ.
-Inability to understand display HZ, resolutions, 4K or 1080p. It doesn't matter, it will consistently flicker and timeout before you can ACCEPT the new display settings in every game. I've been spending a lot of time in INI files forcing configurations to keep Windows happy.
-I have spent more time in the registry and local policy settings screens than my life as a Windows Server Administrator. They made Vista 2, and are FORCING you into it. How's that feel? Oh, you can pay them 30$ and they'll give you another year, but I don't care about their security updates any more. I'm not giving them any more money.

I was forced into to the change by our IT, so can't upgrade back to Windows 10 or XP, which worked well for me. I really hate windows 11.

I don't know about any of the big issues people are having but there are numerous small things (I keep discovering more) that used to be easy and logical and now are more complicated or take extra clicks.

Lots of stupid small changes that don't improve anything.

help me too! i feel trapped in a system(win11pro) that i paid good money for: it(win11pro)changes things without my consent; removes shortcuts that i have struggled to finally get on my desktop....will not allow me to choose anything; and has removed restore points that i have place in restore!!!!!!!!!!! somebody please help me or i will be force to reformat c: etc

This is why I will never buy a Windows 11 computer. I have been through windows 10 computers and they were slow, and the most frustrating part is the freezing, blue screens or system crashes, or even slow startup or performance. My ThinkPad has also been giving me a lot of problems and I have been so fed up. It was getting frustrating to deal with it freezing (including the mouse and keyboard. Even tech support for Windows is a pain, and that there are so many different bugs and/or flaws with different PC models (including Microsoft Surface), Windows 10 is one CPU hug when it comes to gaming. I switched to Mac as of late 2022, and will NEVER buy another Windows PC again.

I just got a 16 inch MacBook Pro for Christmas as of 2022 with 2TB storage and 64 GB memory, and the performance is much better and it's much more stable and the battery life is the best.

The thing of it is that I have an ancient 30-year old Windows 95 computer (486DX2 66MHz, 64 MB RAM, 5.25" and 3.5" floppy, 2 hard drives one 7 GB and 2.4GB HDD, Windows 95 OSR 2 with Plus!, MS-DOS 6.22, Windows For Workgroups 3.11), ZIP and CD-ROM drives,) and although you can no longer get tech support as of 2001, but a lot of programs ran flawlessly and the performance with the old software wasn't too big of an issue. It used to only have a 2.4 GB HDD with DOS 6.22 and Windows for Workgroups 3.11, but I even installed a 8 GB HDD in my 486 to run Windows 95 and DOS, which I had to use Award Modular BIOS setup utility to auto detect the disks, and 95 installed on my 7 gig flawlessly. The RAM was originally 12 MB and I upped the RAM to 64 MB for better performance. Microsoft was definitely a much better company back until windows XP days, and how much I loved playing 16-bit games for DOS. on my old computer. And the Christmas screensaver on my 95, was the thing of the past . It seems like the company has gone downhill these days, when more people are switching to Mac.

It seems 100% obvious the management of Microsoft are totally incompetent when it comes to programming.

Get it on the shelf for sale, screw bugs, screw reliability, screw stability just make that money!

Do not test it for anything and expect everyone that buys Windows to uses exactly the same computer and set up!

Also for Windows 11 tell everyone they have to upgrade but refuse to show any proof it has any benefits

other then superficial and is no where the cost of the new computer and upgrade for what you are doing!

Again this is all bad management at Microsoft that suck at earning the pay they are given.

Would you buy a car that kills the driver and passengers just randomly that never fix the issues for 20 years?
