Hello,

I have been plagued by countless annoying random game crashes the past months with my pc with all pointing out to this error (from event viewer) when they occur: "The description for Event ID 153 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event: 

\Device\00000092

Reset TDR occurred on GPUID:100

The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table"

Have tried numerous possible solutions already from forums, but with no luck.. Fortnite and many other games crash after random intervals. Can anyone suggest a solution for this?

My specs are the following:

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10400F CPU @ 2.90GHz

Installed RAM G-SKILL F4 3200-C16 32,0 GB DDR4

GPU EVGA GTX 980 Superclocked ACX 2.0

Drives Patriot M.2 P300 512GB and Seagate Hybrid HDD 4TB

Motherboard GIGABYTE H510M H V2

Microsoft Windows 11 Professional (x64) Build 22631.3593 (23H2)

Have to note that i recently replaced almost all parts from the pc due to a previous motherboard burnout which killed many components, expect the PSU (which was repaired by the technician) and GPU (which the technician said was saved from the burnout) and the Hybrid HDD (have this HDD since 2016). Apart from this, i restored my windows partition through Macrium Reflect image backup (from the Hybrid HHD saved backup).

Thanks in advance for any possible solutions to this, if any!

    Hi, thank you so much for that information, as per checking and analyzing the event logs, it is all pointing out to your GPU, which is your Nvidia graphics card driver, for us to fix the issue kindly follow the steps below:

    We need to run a Clean installation of the Nvidia driver, this is different from doing DDU or updating the driver as this will remove all entries and replace them with compatible ones, kindly follow the steps from the link below:

    Heyyy Please help me. I am getting the same error and some SECOCL>exe error
    my CPU keeps touching 98 degrees even after fresh repasting

    I did everything I could think of possibly fixes but none of them worked. My games keep crashing and theres these errors in the log.
    Like the SECOCL.64exe
    Please somebody get in touch with me to find out whats the Issue and its solution. I am all in Confusion

    Not an in place Windows upgrade where you keep settings and files. A reformat erases your drive and reformats it and instyall a clean install of WIndows.

    hey, i've been having the same issue and i've compeletely reformatted from a usb twice and still hasnt fixed.
    gpu was running fine untill a few days ago
    what i've done:
    reinstall all drivers (with ddu) check event viewer (tons of errors from nvidia drivers) take out and put back in my ram, tested my ram reinstalled windows from a flash i've took my gpu on and put it back in agian to see if that helps but also no i've underclocked my gpu, i've turned down my ram speed updated bios changed some stuff from nvidia control panel gpu isa 4060 ti 8gb vram 14600kf 2x 4800 hz 16g ram

    Unfortunately, not yet. I read in forums that these types of errors are hard to track and it could be something irrelevant with NVidia such as incompatible old drivers, BIOS issue, a faulty PSU pin cable, dead RAM sticks or incompatible software that could cause the crash.
