Hello I am encountering this error and unable to update, i have WinRe enabled, i tried this fix which seems it works always but for me doesnt https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/kb5028997-instructions-to-manually-resize-your-partition-to-install-the-winre-update-400faa27-9343-461c-ada9-24c8229763bf this link, now sure what to do now, i did step by step as instructed there, i did the troubleshoot didnt work, i tried repairing corrupted files didnt work too. Any fixes??thanks

    Disabling the Host service for gameInput should stop those errors in the event log.

    Yes there are, there is one with enables keyboard, mice, gamepads, and other input devices to be used with the Gameinput API.
    and another one is Host service for gameInput

    Open Services.msc

    Check if there are two GameInput services.

    Let me know.

    I am able to boot yes the blue screen of death happens whenever i open a game like once a day it happens to me i am going to give you exact error message on the event viewer there a few different ones.

    1. The GameInput Service service terminated with the following error:
      The compound file GameInput service was produced with the newer version of storage.(Event ID 7023)
    2. The GameInput Service service has terminated unexceptedly. It has done it 6 time(s).(Event ID 7034)
    3. The GameInput Service service has terminated unexceptedly. It has done is 5 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 1000 miliseconds. Restart the service.
