Windows 11 24H2 USB Audio Issues (timing out)

I have upgraded to Windows 11 24H2 (26100.712) and am having issues with getting my USB Audio systems to stay awake. Whenever there is no sound playing, my USB audio system turns itself off, thinking that there is no power to the USB port that it's connected to.

I've changed the setting in advanced power options to disable selective suspend, but this does not do anything. I've also disabled powering down the drive setting in Device Manager (for USB ports), and still no luck.

My machine is pretty much useless as a work machine now, as my USB audio (Bose Companion 5) system turns off within minutes of no audio, silencing my machine so I'm unable to hear notifications or calls.

This bug has only happened since installing 24H2, I've checked device manager and there seems to have been new drivers installed with this update, so potentially some changes there.

    Microsoft does not issue quality updates in December. So I would look to the Tuesday, January 7th update.

    I reverted back to Build 26100.1742, so I have sound and while the pod goes out with no sound, I can tap to restore, and I play music, so not a big issue.

    I have updates paused, of course, to stay on that old build. On January 8th I will check what the contents of that update are to see whether I can un-pause. And then do a restore point before trying that update.

    Same problem with Bose Companion 5 sleep timeout. Adding my instance to foray to tag along if/when a solution might present itself... As long as something is playing sound works OK. Just got to keep the volume on/off control module front and center, and remember to turn it on when needed - all the time...

    I have the same problem with my Bose Companion 5. I run a YouTube Video of a dog whistle sound that runs on a second desktop to keep the speakers from going to sleep. Can't wait for a real solution from Microsoft.
