I did exactly the same, gointo Device Manager, uninstall the Bose USB speakers, restart.

The green light kept being green evern since, as it used to be. Thanks!

As mentioned, I did restart my computer a few times and also using some Bluetooth headphones... I have a suggestion (if you have not tried already) switch your output to another device besides the BOSE. Shutdown/restart check the other device is working then switch back to BOSE and shutdown/restart - could be worth a try...? I see another guy in earlier comments uninstalled/reinstalled driver...

Since the February Windows update, the problem seems to be resolved, as Microsoft also stated in their release notes.

However, to make it actually work after the update, I had to uninstall the Bose USB speakers in Windows Device Manager, restart the computer, and reinstall the Bose USB speakers. Ever since, the speakers no longer time out.

I have upgraded to Windows 11 24H2 (26100.712) and am having issues with getting my USB Audio systems to stay awake. Whenever there is no sound playing, my USB audio system turns itself off, thinking that there is no power to the USB port that it's connected to.

I've changed the setting in advanced power options to disable selective suspend, but this does not do anything. I've also disabled powering down the drive setting in Device Manager (for USB ports), and still no luck.

My machine is pretty much useless as a work machine now, as my USB audio (Bose Companion 5) system turns off within minutes of no audio, silencing my machine so I'm unable to hear notifications or calls.

This bug has only happened since installing 24H2, I've checked device manager and there seems to have been new drivers installed with this update, so potentially some changes there.
