Hey! I have got a new build - Ryzen 7950x w 128GB RAM and a NVIDIA 4060 GPU. Motherboard: ROG STRIX X670-E-E GAMING. Main problem I have been facing is the WMI Activity levels for the CPU were getting up to 80-90% clogging the functionality of my PC.

Now, I have managed to execute some solutions mentioned in the above linked post and then some routes I have mentioned properly in this sheet I made for the same purpose; the major route I have chosen is to take note of PID's in Operational Logs of WMI Activity and tackle them one by one.

I have marked the processes that have been "solved" and did not occur again as green and the ones still coming up as errors in the operational logs as red.
The processes giving me WMI Errors in a ranked manner in terms of frequency of errors:
- NVIDIA Container
- ASUS COM Service
- ExpressVPN - VPN Service
- Service Host Network Service
The situation as of now is it's gotten better; the WMI Activity doesn't go more than 20% as of now but as far as I know, this process shouldn't take up any of the CPU which means some programs/processes are still interfering which I want to fully solve. Also, there have been periods of no issues and then suddenly it crops up again so I want to fully eliminate it.
Also let me know; my last resort being a reboot to downgrade to Windows 10 and how would that fare as the last possible solution if I can't figure out how to eliminate the interfering programs/processes?

I have found some new clues in conjunction with the new information you have provided! (Especially with your Access Denied issue, I found several possibilities)

2024-08-27T21:53:19+00:00 Btw Arthur, I read somewhere: When you try to give a command of stopping WMI in CMD, if it shows a program to be terminated before I could do that meaning it's using that program, uninstalling that has solved people's problem. Funny thing is the one my screenshot shows - Malware Bytes is a small antivirus program which I installed because I was facing this problems to check for any malware. :D
Do you think I should also just delete that?
I have just done so much stuff right now that even with zero tech background I feel like a I could become an engineer, sadly nothing has worked till now and I really hope it does.

I have tried everything from this video. The number 2 of "stopping related services" fetched me errors mainly on the lines of: Access denied. So I couldn't do that other than that, I have done everything except the clean boot till now.

1 - Yes, I did it with "Run as administrator" and I re-checked right now - doing it with or without that fetches the same result - System Error 5, Access is denied.
What would that mean?
2 - I have done most of it and I will give you a brief history again of how it started and what all I thought I could do. As I have told you, I'm a professional poker player and mostly use this PC for playing poker (on multiple clients/software's) and studying with help of solvers which run simulations (which actually is the CPU intensive work). I face the WMI problem in the former not the latter, weirdly. Now I understand it could be because of some of the programs I nailed down through the PID's and I first tried adding a dedicated GPU to my PC (at first it was just running on AMD integrated graphics on the Ryzen 7950x) thinking maybe it's about that even though poker sites are not at all graphic intensive. The problem came back again after which I thought it's some software issue and not hardware as my PC isn't heating up or anything as well. Attaching a video of what exactly the problem seems like in real time - this is an old one shot at the start of the problem and as I have told you I have seen WMI activity soaring up to 90% at times. Have said some things in Hindi but the video will give you more than enough idea. I also tried updating BIOS version told as a solution by one of my friends but everything just gave no or temporary relief. Installed DDU to remove bloated NVIDIA stuff as well - which by the way till date continues to be one of the biggest errors in Event Viewer - a process called "NVIDIA Container".

3 - OK, I will do the clean boot. Just to be clear, this is done to identify what process is causing the problem? So I need to re-start some of those "stopped" processes in batches, play my session and try to re-create the problem and using kind of hit and trial method with what's causing problems and what's not out of those restarted programs/services? For me, it isn't certain that every time I have a playing session this WMI Activity shows up and it creeps up randomly so how do I monitor it you suggest? Make a note of it if and when it happens basically and then check what services/startup processes are on?
4 - I have already taken proper database backup for the downgrading to Windows 10, it seems like the best way but sure as you said I can try the clean boot and if that doesn't work, I can resort to downgrading.
