How do I remove all Copilot and AI related stuff from Windows 11?

You are correct in saying that we have no say in what features Microsoft add but there should be an option whether or not we choose to use it.

On the whole I like everything about Microsoft - however, I make an exception with Copilot.

I am not opposed to AI but this Copilot pops up in everything I am trying to do and there seems to be no way to disable it or even choose when you want to use it - the way it currently works is very invasive - That is the main reason that I don't like it.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to uninstall it as it's a core part of the OS. What it does allow is to disable it.

1. Open Settings > System > Copilot.

Toggle the Copilot switch to the "Off" position.

2. Open Settings > Apps > Optional features.

Look for features related to Copilot, AI or machine learning and uninstall them.

Okay i am just enamored with your reply. I am sure the Kool-aid reference was lost on them unfortunately.

Scary thought, i just was issued a 2024 GMC service vehicle that includes not only the 'stop at a traffic light pause engine function' (that i can turn off) It also has a 15 minute timer that runs when i park the vehicle that will shut down the engine for what reason i do not know. What i do know is, that it has to be deprogrammed at a dealership for the apparent cost of around $250. Also i know that my vehicle runs air supplying compressors to confined space entry personnel, and when it dies, so will they. Not sure about user agreement on something we did not even ask for, the city lawyers are working on that one. So it is spreading.

Well, it's not work when i switch this button to off, because it's already run in background everytime i use Edge Browser. If you press windows + c it's still show the copilot. So anoying Microsoft.

2. Navigate to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Copilot
3. Turn off Windows Copilot > Chose the enabled option (confusingly to "enable" the disable

This worked for me - I didn't have to enable to first disable - just went straight to disable, it's a crying shame after hours of messing around with the UI this is the only way I could find to turn it off..
