G Pro X Wireless plays mute/unmute sound when audio starts or volume is changed

I'm having this issue since updating to Windows 11 24H2, I've talked to Logitech support and they said since this is only happening on my PC and not others, its a Windows 11 update issue.

Here is what they said:

I understand your concern. I request you to contact Windows support as you are facing the issue after the Windows 11 update. There are high chances of audio drivers not updated properly. Hence, if you contact Windows support they will help you reinstall the software.

Please advise on how I should proceed, I've also linked a Reddit post with people having the same issue:

    Happening for me too, Logitech PRO X Wireless - mute/unmute sound when not listening to anything for like 1 Minute, then this sound occures when i play anything (starting video on youtube or anything that has sound). Nothing helped me to fix this, this seems like microsoft windows update issue. Fix it!

    I wasn't have this problem until I updated to the latest version of Windows too.

    This workaround actually helped!! But by choosing a different device for the playback, something like your monitor speakers or desktop speaker (shouldn't matter since the main sound should be coming from your headset) and there won't be an echo while you talk or doing heavy breathing ;)

    How choosing different device helps me to solve the problem????? I need to use my headset and microphone! If i choose always listen from the device, i will always hear my voice when im talking online with anyone. That IS NOT a workaround if you need your mic.

    Is this like an Indian L1 guy trying to be useful? Sorry but you are not. Microsoft should look at this as soon as possible and find a solution to fix this issue!!!!!

    Same issue. Just reached out to Logitech as well trying to get them to flag this issue.

    It happens regardless of USB slot on devices with Windows 11 24H2. Using the same device with a Windows 11 23H2 installation doesn't produce this issue.

    The headset is running their latest firmware and Logitech support is adamant that it is a Windows issue.

    As far as I can tell playing Audio after around 30 - 90 seconds of silence is the trigger (funnily enough opening the YouTube homepage has a similar effect as playing audio and will result in the mute / unmute sound after prolonged silence). Obviously there is nothing in the Windows event log that could help. It doesn't even matter if G HUB is installed or not.

    We have two Logitech G Pro X wireless headsets and both have this issue on the new Windows update.
