G Pro X Wireless plays mute/unmute sound when audio starts or volume is changed

I'm having this issue since updating to Windows 11 24H2, I've talked to Logitech support and they said since this is only happening on my PC and not others, its a Windows 11 update issue.

Here is what they said:

I understand your concern. I request you to contact Windows support as you are facing the issue after the Windows 11 update. There are high chances of audio drivers not updated properly. Hence, if you contact Windows support they will help you reinstall the software.

Please advise on how I should proceed, I've also linked a Reddit post with people having the same issue:

No one has found a solution yet

A month has passed and the problem is still there. Upgraded to 24H2 today and felt it. Very annoying. When will there be a fix?

I reinstalled my system yesterday and upgraded from Win 10 to Win 11. Now I have this problem with a freshly installed system that I didn't have before. Good job MS or whoever messed this up.

Playing music on low volume works best for me right now as a workaround.

None of these are viable or apply. It's obviously not in any way an RF/wireless issue. The issue is easily replicated by initiating sound following any brief period of inactivity. If it were signal-related, it would be intermittent and random, often initiated by outside interference. This is 100% reproducable on-demand. Rolling back off of Win24H2 is not a viable solution in my case, even though that update is clearly the driver of this bug. I've updated Ghub/re-installed it and I have other Logitch products that require it. Given that it's happening to almost everyone using a Pro X Wireless Headset, I doubt it's any random drivers or software issues, but rather a conflict between the Windows audio API and whatever the headset is doing.

The only true 'fix' that's listed is to do things like play audio from the mic through the headset, which is a no-go for me. I don't know how people would want that unless they never use a mic. You can also play music 24/7 at a low volume or run a process that always keeps the audio active, but that's a silly solution.

I got a reply from the LogitechG subreddit from LogitechG_Andy, and he said their engineers are working with Microsoft. Not sure what else there is to do but wait.

It's only a workaround and not a permanent fix.

I'm having this same issue and it's really annoying. Please fix it Microsoft! The issue occurs in the latest Windows 11 release (also after a clean install)
