Mouse Cursor Size Issue on Windows 11 (v24H2) - HP Spectre x360

Hello everyone, I am experiencing a strange issue with my Windows 11 (version 24H2) laptop. Every time I boot up my HP Spectre x360 16-inch 2-in-1 laptop, the mouse cursor appears significantly larger than normal.

I found that resetting the graphics card temporarily resolves the issue, but the problem reoccurs with each reboot. changing the screen resolution also fixed it, any solution? My laptop is equipped with Intel Iris Xe Graphics and has 8GB of RAM.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

KB5050094 did not solve the issue for my HP Spectre X360 either.

I have still to disable fast-start, in order not have the problem.

As I mentioned before, this issue has nothing to do with mouse curser settings or fixing problems with it.

This is an issue about scaling for display, which linked to incompatibility between existing INTEL graphic driver for this laptop and Microsoft fast-start in Windows 24H2.

Microsoft, HP and INTEL have work together ASAP for solving this issue.

Just got KB5050094 update this morning.

Seems like the issue is gone but I had false positive with prior Windows update before so I'd encourage people to update theirs and check.

Issue not fixed for me despite installing KB5050094 on HP Spectre

I'm sticking with disabling fast start because it's a massive irritant otherwise.

If it is Intel's driver at fault, makes things even weirder as I have kept 32.0.101.5972, the latest Lenovo issued driver the same across all the time I had this issue.

    Hello,

This problem is due to an incompatibity issue between 24H2 and INTEL drivers (graphic and can be also BIOS) for some flip touchscreen laptops like HP Spectre and Omnibook , and also for some Lenovo models.

HP, Microsoft and Intel all knows this issue, a lot of people did contact with them including me.

Here is the information from INTEL two days ago :

"I completely understand your need for a resolution and an update on the issue you're experiencing. I wanted to let you know that we are still investigating the matter. Rest assured, we are continuing our investigation and will keep you informed of any progress.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

    Best regards,
