I did not ask for this feature, I didn't even intentionally update my pc and while I am glad that I seem to have successfully uninstalled it, I am infuriated that it was installed without my knowledge nor consent. Generative AI is technology I personally believe to be genuinely evil and not something I would interact with willingly under any circumstances. Knowing that this feature is irremovable in win11 is the final excuse I need never to install it. If any Microsoft exec cares please burn down all of your AI infrastructure and reassign all those staff, it is a waste of money, talent, time and human energy. Please do not re-install Copilot in the next update, please.

That does not answer the original question which was why is Copilot suddenly popping up on our PCs. Fair enough it is a new feature, but surely we need to call it up - not just let it pop up randomly. By the way, your response also read a little patronising.

THIS IS THE EXACT PROBLEM!!! We are not obligated to use copilot ... but Copilot uses us. It is an Artificial Intelligence. BY ITS VERY NAME, it indicates that it acts alone. The scariest search queries for Chat GPT users is asking it, "What do you know about me?" and the responses are terrifying.

You still don't seem to get it. THe issue is quite simply, why did they not ask before installing this powerful and intrusive feature?
The key difference is that with most of your examples, one can uninstall them and they will not be reinstalled. Not so with Copilot.
