Anyway to not update to 24H2 but still get security updates?

I know no one at Microsoft cares but just wanted to throw my hat in the ring with the rest of you all having problems. I've lost many hours (if not days) of productivity due to the 24H2 update.

I use Unreal Engine for my job and it basically became unusable (took 30 min to open the editor every time) and we were racking our brains trying to figure out why. After hours of trying to debug, I ended up rolling back to 23H2 and now the editor opens instantly (like it used to).

Of course now I'm in a weird limbo state where I know support for 23H2 has ended and the longer I stay on it, the bigger a security risk it is. I don't really know what to do moving forward since 24H2 basically makes doing my job impossible.

I decided some time ago that Windows isn't the way forward for me. Most of my computers are running Linux/Ubuntu.

My main laptop, on which I'm typing this, is W11 and although I had updates paused, it's now constantly pecking my head to install 24H2.

Next time I reboot it'll be in. I don't want it, I didn't ask for it and it offers no features I need or care for. So this too will be a Linux machine soon. Just waiting for a new SSD so I can clean install and throw this Windows installation in a draw somewhere until I'm sure I left nothing useful on it.

Yup. We're in the same boat.
Pause Windows update doesn't work.

We've had to restore 20 computers as many as 2 times per week to keep a particular version of software working, that the developer "can't seem to find the issue, and no one else is having the issue".

Wrong. Here we are in March (started in Feb) where it's forced upon us. No hacks. No tricks. Just didn't opt for it. First few computers updated, broke software we don't have development control over, figured out it was related to 24H2 so we restored PC's, paused updates and wouldn't you know it, next week, the same computers had the same problem.

So now my entire department has to spend time every day fighting this dang update that we don't want yet. I GET IT, security, blah blah. MOST of our computers are ok running 24H2 because only 40 of 200 computers have this particular software, but those 40 computers keep us hopping.
