Hey, I have a question about windows Update, is there anyway to stay on 23h2 but still get security updates without upgrading to 24h2 automatically I just have updates pauzed for now but I still want security patches, I've heard there have been a lot of issues on 24h2 so thought id ask. Also other updates just not 24H2

Well I have NEVER pressed the red stuff, and today, Microsoft decided that I needed that damn 24H2 update. It took almost all day, and when it was finally done, I had no audio, my Epson scanner app had disappeared and the laptop just crawled with every single keystroke. I tried to install/update the audio drivers - no dice. I was fortunately able to Go Back and my computer is now working like it should. I really don't want this update and if it means I need to edit the registry, I will.
Windows 24H2 removes all support for Windows Mixed Reality, because Microsoft no longer wish to support any headset that uses this standard, whether it’s my HP or any other. They’ve declared them obsolete, so I would have to either give up on VR just as Flight Simulator 2024 has me regularly using it again, or go out and spend almost £1000 on a Valve Index.
Not true. Windows continues to download 24H2 and tell me I have to restart. I don't want this update as it always locks up my system until I safely uninstall it.
If "Get the latest updates as soon as they're available" is checked, it automatically starts to download 24H2. This is a screenshot from today, there is no separate "Download & Install" button for 24H2 like your screenshot.
I don't have problems with updates, and I know why.
You are free to say and do as you please, and I hope you find a solution to your problems.
