Problem in network Windows 11 24h2

But as I said before, 24H2 didn't work properly on the second partition even after multiple reinstalls. I had to clone the first working operating system.

It all seems to be very dependent on random chance.

From which manufacturer? Dell? HP? Lenovo? Asus? Acer? Other?

What is the manufacturer and part-number of the network adapter(s) in your computer?

Some network adapters do not seem to have any problem.

here is the exact solution I applied and have never looked back:

Check Password-Protected Sharing:

Go to Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Advanced sharing settings.

Ensure that Turn off password-protected sharing is selected.

Enable Guest Access:

Open Run by pressing Windows key + R, type gpedit.msc, and press Enter.

Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Network > Lanman Workstation.

Double-click Enable insecure guest logons, select Enabled, and click Apply.

Modify Registry (Advanced):

Press Windows key + R, type regedit, and press Enter.

Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkstation\Parameters.

Right-click on Parameters, create a new DWORD (32-bit) value named AllowInsecureGuestAuth, set its value to 1, and click OK.

Clear Stored Credentials:

Go to Control Panel > User Accounts > Credential Manager.

Under Windows Credentials, remove any stored credentials related to your network.

Restart Your Computer: After making these changes, restart your computer to apply the updates.

If these steps don't resolve the issue, you might want to consider rolling back to the previous version of Windows 11 (23H2) until a fix is released for this problem.

Microsoft has added a new security mechanism to Windows 11, so the access without a password is considered unsafe by the system.

You can set an administrator user with a password on the shared computer.

• After my tests, in the win11 24H2 version, the wireless card only enabled 2.4G band can solve this problem.
• I am not sure what is wrong with this. My Windows 10 laptop can use 5G connection network. But on Windows 11 24h2, when the Band selection is 5G only or All Band, it will cause the problem of not finding the DHCP server.
• When I use my phone as a hotspot, win11 24h2 is able to connect to the hotspot normally in the 5G band. It's so strange.
