Problem in network Windows 11 24h2

At your home, you are using your Internet Service Provider's DNS-servers to do DNS-queries, e.g., "find IP-address for the name www.ibm.com". 

At work, you probably are using either a different I.S.P., or your employer's network is using some other DNS-servers, maybe to "filter" DNS-queries to block access to some NSFW web-servers by the employer's employees.

So, that's the difference, and changing DNS-servers is a good solution for everybody having the issue.

By the way, who is your I.S.P. ? I am wondering which ISP(s) have the issue.

I mainly use my ISPs DNS servers (automatic settings) although I have tried both Google & Cloudflare at various times in the past.

I'm 21 with 52 years experience 😂 so don't work any more

Only had this problem with the release of 24H2, all previous versions of Win 11 gave no problems, but as with most things nowadays, fix one problem and create 10 more.

ISP is Community Fibre in London, UK utilising the Linksys Velop WHW0303 Triband mesh system

Hey, is there anyone who could try this solution on their 24H2? I'm back on 23H2 more than a week without problems...

I've just found this:

I added the following to registry: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters TcpTimedWaitDelay: Set it to 30000 (30 seconds) KeepAliveTime: set it to 60000 (1 minute) KeepAliveInterval: Set it to 1000 (1 second) I also downloaded and ran TCPOptimizer and ran that: speedguide.net/downloads.php Screenshots on this forum for TCP settings: speedguide.net/forums/… Seems to be working so far. I will update if anything changes.

WORK AROUND for me. Hope it helps.....

GOOD MORNING - started out terrible after working on a computer at home all weekend.

To have it Update from win10 22h2 directly to Win11 24h2 , after a M.2 replacement.

Bringing the computer back to work and find all these 24h2 network issues and having to get things going. (HOME no problems noticed)

Made it work by going into Network Ethernet settings.

  DNS Server Assignment 

      change to Manual 

            turn ON IPv4 

      Preferred DNS = I used 1.1.1.1 

          turn DNS over HTTPS = On (automatic template)   

used 8.8.8.8 for sec = same options

 SAVED = Internet now working

That depends on which third-party router you are using.

If you are using the DHCP-server supplied by your Internet Service Provider, it will not assign an IPv6 to you.

Try disabling IPv6 on your computer, to see if it bypasses your issue. If it does not help, enable IPv6, and keep trouble-shooting.

Thanks, that did indeed fix the problem, my DHCP is just run through my broadband router
