Problem in network Windows 11 24h2

Same issue on Lenovo laptops, fixed in registry as view in a minitool forum

Step 1: Press Win + R together to open the Run dialog box, type regedit, and press Enter.

Step 2: In the pop-up UAC window, click the Yes button to grant administrator permission.

Step 3: Navigate to the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WcmSvc

Step 4: Find and double-click the DependOnService entry in the right pane.

Step 5: In the pop-up interface, remove WinHTTPAutoProxySvc from the list, leaving only RpcSs and NSI.

Step 6: Click the Ok button to save the change.

Restart your PC to check whether these internet/Wi-Fi issues in Windows 11 24H2 are solved.

My Hero. This worked for me.

Same for me. I have a Gigabyte Z390 Pro WiFi board with an Intel Ethernet Connection I219-V network adapter and nothing seems to fix the internet drops. Reset the connection, reloaded the driver, turned off IPV6 and checked the numerous suggestions on the forum and elsewhere to fix the problem. Nothing fixes the issue. I'm shocked that a Windows 11 update can have such an effect on a network connection. Shame on you Microsoft!

Currently I solve the problem with disabling completely ipv6 in the network interface settings.

With IPv6 enabled:

With IPv6 disabled it behaves as expected and as published by the DHCP server

I can confirm, that nothing worked so far on MSI Z390 Ace motherboard. I tried everything.

I'm at home without being in a Windows Domain. I just have a DHCP and DNS server which run on a now unsupported Windows Server version.

The DHCP server serves parameter option 015 with value "home.local".

Since the upgrade of my laptop with 24H2, all internal DNS queries fail now.

I have the feeling that is it related to IPv6.

My DNS and DHCP server has the IPv4 address 192.168.68.5

After a IPCONFIG /RENEW here are the settings installed:

When I type:

nslookup

Default Server: UnKnown

it shows me that I am querying some local IPv6 DNS server, instead of the one supplied in option #6 of the DHCP setting.

My server is named "s" (with FQDN "s.home.local")

... continuing the nslookup queries ...

How can I avoid this interference with IPv6, that overrides the answers of my DHCP server ?
